How to Enjoy Chores

I'm always looking for ways to teach my girls to clean and enjoy doing it.
It's sometimes difficult because there are still parts that I absolute HATE having to do.
Like cleaning the bathroom.

But Maddy, here, came up with a fantastic solution to the terribleness of cleaning a nasty bathroom. You just pretend like you're cleaning and have girl time instead. I said to her, "Maddy, let clean the potty." To which she replied, "Fix my hair, Mama", and climbed up on the toilet lid. She loves her pigtails. And to be honest, I didn't mind cleaning the bathroom afterwards because her cute little self sat there with those adorable pigtails and talked to me the whole time!

Can you find the hidden object?

My chirruns LOVE peppermints. Wanna know how I figured that one out?
Well, see this? This was a peppermint wreath my MIL sent us for Christmas. It's been hanging on our wall since she sent it. My kids (including the hubs) have had at least one pepperment EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
Remember that picture up at the top? Bet you missed this:
That's right. A peppermint. The child--wait a minute. I just realized that if plural is "chirruns" then the singular shouldn't be child...it should be...um...chir? My chir loves her some peppermints. Maybe that doesn't work too well...
Chile? (that's ch-eye-l not Ch-ee-lay)
Hmm.
I'll just stick with chirruns for now til one of you comes up with a better singular version.

No Snow Day

I'm sure y'all have heard of or experienced the craziness in Atlanta lately with snow, ice, abandoned school buses and people sleeping in Home Depot.

Well, I was kind of hoping to get a little snow so the girls could play in it.  I mean, come on...I can handle a single day of misery if the girls get to have a blast in the snow. But y'all...this is all we got. Ugh.

In other news, Greta has run approximately 5, 750 laps around that building.
