We all know that you don't really want to read my description of our Christmas happenings. All you want is pictures. Well, I don't have any. My android just shriveled up and died on me. Ok, no shriveling, but it is unresponsive. Basically you have to wait until all my family sends me the pictures they took so I can post them.

It's ok if you're angry. They have a 12 step program for that.

Just wait patiently. Patience is a virtue after all.

Flower Petals

Apparently it's very important for a blogger to include a step-by-step tutorial at some point to help readers. Well, today's the day.

I'm going to teach you how to deal with a traffic signal. This seems to be very difficult for quite a few people in our area, so I'm assuming it's a nationwide, possibly even a global issue.  It's actually a three fold tutorial.

If the light is green:
Step 1: use the pedal (not petal, as many people commonly confuse the two words) on the right. This is called an 'accelerator".

Step 2: continue driving.

If the light is yellow:
Step 1: Make a decision.
Step 2: stick with it.
DO NOT stutter with the brakes...someone WILL hit you.

If the light is red
Step 1: look for cops.
Step 2: No cops, you're good to go. If you see one, the brake pedal is on the left.

Alright folks. There you have it. Next time you're approaching a traffic signal and you forget what to do, reach into the passenger floorboard to find your smart phone, scream at your kids a little, and look up my blog post. Don't forget to glance at the road every 30 seconds or so. And if the cop pulls you over for driving on the median and running the light, just tell him, in the infamous words of Shaggy, "wasn't me".

Oh really?

I don't have anything in particular to write about today, so I thought I would just do some fun facts about me:)

I was not named after anyone. I was supposed to be William Nathaniel. But I'm a girl, so that was a no-go.

The last time I cried was earlier today while watching The Devil Wears Prada.

Sometimes I absolutely love my handwriting. Other times I hate it. It changes depending on the size/shape of my writing utensil. Also, in high school, me and me best friend Ali had IDENTICAL handwriting. weird.

I don't really like lunch meat. If I eat a sandwich I prefer actual roast beef or tuna.

I still have my tonsils. And my appendix. And two baby teeth.

The person I miss most is my Papaw, who died a few years ago. So many great memories involve him. We actually had a party instead of a funeral. It involved shotguns.

I'm supposed to wear glasses. I need to get some new ones made cause I haven't had my eyes checked in like...4 years. I absolutely refuse the idea of contacts. NOTHING gets that close to my eyeballs.

Scott wants a tattoo. I can't decide how I feel about it. Sometimes I think I would love it and sometimes I freak and go all Cruella-Deville-when-she's-angry and tell him NO WAY.

I pick my nose. Yep. I said it. No worries, though, cause I don't eat boogers or anything. Also, Maddy has learned to stick her finger in noses. Doesn't have to be hers. Mine and Scott's are at the top of her list.

I just shaved my legs today for the first time in at least 6 weeks.Although to be fair, Lillee is only 7 weeks old.

I sing a song and do dance about roast beef and mashed potatoes. it really embarrasses Scott:)

Well, now I have to pee really bad so I'm going to post this and head to the loo. potty. toilet. john. lavatory. restroom. ladies room. that's all I got.

Bye Bye Dragon Breath

So you know how when you use delicious, minty tooth paste and mouthwash that smells wonderful, then when you wake up, you have dragon breath?
Or after you brush in the morning, your mouth tastes bad again like...30 minutes later?
Well, it's cause of your toxic, chemical-laden toof paste.

A few days ago I made my own toothpaste.
I've been using it for 3 days now, and I love it!
My teeth are whiter, my mouth feels super clean, and I don't get that gross aftertaste/dragon breath in the mornings.

I should have taken a  before picture of my teeth.
They have gotten dramatically whiter already.
I will take a picture tonight to compare to later ones.

It's super easy to make.
You can even buy a kit with directions from The Bulk Herb Store.
It tastes like Christmas time! Actually it just tastes like cinnamon and cloves, but whatever.
It make the whole house smell yum when you make it.
You'll feel like you live in a Christmas house.
Just go with it.

My mouth is happy.
My husband is happy.
My dragon breath is a thing of the past!

Oh and it's completely natural/herbal, so it can be swallowed, which means the chilrens can use it without having to worry.
 woop woop.
Unsupervised teeth brushing for Moo!
Just Kidding.
Kind of.

Scott's Anxiety

What a day.
We just got home about 8pm.
Scott spent his afternoon in a hospital bed. Ugh.

Last night he woke me up around midnight saying his chest was hurting.
I told him he needed to take some aspirin.
We didn't have any.
So he went to the store to get some.

When he got out of the car, he got completely weak and dizzy...but he went in and got his aspirin, then asked a police officer who was there to follow him home just in case.

when he got home he called 9-1-1. T
The paramedic said he was fine and left. Scott slept fine. I think. I was worried but I finally fell asleep.
This morning we went to run some errands, then we were going to grab some food. After running all the errands, he got really pale and then all of sudden turned bright red. He said he was dizzy and needed me to drive and go to the hospital. But instead of pulling over so I could drive, he proceeded to drive like a lunatic all the way to the hospital.

He got there around 1. I staid in the car with the girls. He sent a nurse out to ask me to come inside.
Oh yeah, my flip flop was broken because I fell out of the car at the store earlier this morning. Anyway, I finally get his room in the Chest Pain Center and the nurse tells me I can't keep the girls there. So Scott calls a friend whose daughter can watch Maddy and arranges childcare while I go home to get new shoes and drop Maddy off with the babysitter.

I get back to hospital around 4.
They still hadn't let Scott eat or told him what was going on.
Finally around 6 they said all his blood tests looked okay so there were checking his thyroid. That took til 7 and they finally let us leave about 7:20 with a prescription for anxiety medication. Which he can't take most of the time because he can't drive after he takes it.

When we got to the apartment to pick Maddy up, she was was sleeping on the bed. Passed out. It was adorable. I'm so glad she had fun instead of being locked up in the hospital.

So now we're home, Maddy's in the bed, I'm chillin' on the couch. And what is Scott doing? Working. Yep. We got home and he had to start an investigation. At our apartment complex.

What an exhausting day.

Chunky Smiles

Lille smiled today!
A real smile.
I was tapping her nose and saying "I got your nose" in a high pitched voice.
It almost made me cry=]

It is so fun to watch our girls grow, and sometimes I say "I can't wait til..."
But now I realize how much I miss the baby days.
I wish I had enjoyed Maddy being a baby.

I wish I had a picture of Chunk smiling, but I couldn't catch it.

Big Old Jedi Lionel

I know I already posted today, but I thought I would give you a little sneak peek of my life with Scott. I want to share some of his antics.

Scott knows the words to EVERY single song that comes on the radio. Any radio station, any genre, any artist. Doesn't matter. Scott knows the words. Well...most of the words. What's truly entertaining is when he sings his own words. Here are some examples...

Silk suit. Black tie. I don't need a reason why.
They come running just as fast as they can.
Cause every girl crazy bout a Shot glass man/shop class man. (he has two versions of that one)

Play me a song that makes me wanna roll my windows down and cruise.
(It really says " Baby you a song, you ..." But when I told Scott that, he said "that's stupid. why would I say "baby you a song" if you're not a song. you can't be a song." I told him it's a metaphor...romantic and poetic and all that. he still refuses to sing the right words)

Whoaaa--oo-oo bigawzetelinaw,
Don't carry me too far away.
Whoaaa--oo--oo bigawzetelinaw,
Cause it's here that I've got to stay.

He isn't the only one on that last one. According to, people commonly sing these lyrics:
We go to jail in a line up
Big Ole Jed and a rhino
We're gonna jam with a light on
Big Ole South Carolina
Big old jedi Lionel

Also, he has some Redneckisms that he uses regularly. Some are just words he cant say right. Reminds me of my Grandmother trying to say Martina Navratilova.

Siphel as in "I am gonna siphel some gas out of that dude's car"
Licens (without the E) as in, "where are my licens? I need them to drive"
Bulgaraly as "I caught the thief and charged him with bulgaraly"
 He also can't say Hamburglar.

I feel like I may have just found myself a repetitive post topic. Maybe I'll do a weekly post about Scott's sayings. He doesn't mind. It's all in good fun. Besides,he has a blast when he catches me singing the wrong words to something.

So...Scott and I haven't been on a vacation since our honeymoon. And that kinda sucked cause I was SO sick the whole time.
did I mention we went to Vegas? Yeah.
Talk about ruining your honeymoon...being a SICK newlywed in Las Vegas.

Anyway, in 2013 we are planning on taking a family vacation. It's so hard to decide what to do. And SO expensive.

Vacations sho aint for po folk.

so we may not be going anywhere at all next year.

I think my favorite place we have considered is Pigeon Forge because we could stay in a peaceful, private cabin, visit Dollywood, go to Dixie Stampede, and take a drive over to Gatlinburg for a day.

I have so many memories there, it would be awesome to make some with my own little family. I can't believe I can say that. Family memories now mean me and Scott, not me and my parents. What a blessing.

I'll leave you with this little tidbit: Chunk has the most disgusting farts I've ever smelled in my entire life.

what a nuisance

My child is a nuisance.
I love it.
In fact, it may be my favorite thing about her.

She is constantly causing trouble, climbing on things, dumping things out, being annoying, eating things that aren't food, stealing things, yelling, breaking things.

It shows me she's learning, growing, exploring. She's so adventurous and has no fear. She's also a performer. I know because every 10 minutes or so she checks to see if I am paying attention.

So far today she has tried to carry Lillee by herself, squealed at the top of her lungs (and vocal range) until she ran out of breath (opera, anyone?), climbed inside her folded up stroller, pulled ornaments off the tree, stolen my cup, rearranged the icons on my phone, dumped out ALL of her toys in the living room floor, and is no sitting by her stroller spinning the wheels around. And she has only been up since 9:30.

Because she is so fun and so smart, I though I would blog about some words that describe my dear Maddy Moo. Here goes:

Prima Donna

Put it all together and what's that spell?

ok...this is why I was never a cheerleader.

There are so many other words I could use to describe this beautiful little girl. She has been the greatest blessing to us this past 17 months. She loves everyone she meets and everyone love her.

She's a ham.

11 questions from the lovely Miss Cochran
1. What is YOUR favorite make-up product?
I'm not much of a make-up girl, but I'd say the cheapest mascara on the shelf. The cheap stuff ALWAYS has an awesome brush and it's usually runny, which I like. None of that gloopy nasty expensive stuff.
2. What is one thing you did in 2012 that you are proud of?
Gave birth to my beautiful little Chunk
3. What is one of your goals for 2013?
Frugality! The real goal is to save money for a beach vacation because Scott deserves it.
4. Your favorite fat kid food is….
wow. pretty much any candy. and cookies. and cheeseburgers.  I just like food.
5. What is your hidden talent?
It's not family-rated...More like PG-13 Sorry:)
6. Your plastic surgery of choice would be….
hmm...I'm pretty happy with everything (hope that's not too conceited)...although I would have to pick a tummy tuck after all the children come along. So far having two 9 pound babies hasn't  been kind to the belly.
7. What is your favorite household chore?
Does cooking count? I don't consider that a chore because I love to cook. Otherwise, my favorite chore would be vacuuming. But I hate having to roll up the cord.
8. What is the TV you love that you are ashamed of?
I have no shame.
9. Your first concert was….
Baskstreet I said, I have no shame.
10. How many chirrens did you want/do want?
I used to want NONE. ha. Now I want a houseful. At least 4.
11. What is the best thing about your family holiday traditions?
The absolute best thing about our traditions is sitting around after the main meal telling stories. We usually have more than 20 people at each family gathering, sometimes close to 50. We're a bunch of rednecks so the stories get colorful. My favorite stores are of my mom's dad, my Pawpaw. He died a few years ago and we've been celebrating his life ever since!

Last but not least.... I nominate....
Carrie @ Little Things
Jack @ Jack, Java, and Jesus
Patti @ Love, Faith, Food and Life

Sunny Day

Let me tell you, the weather around here changes more than Nikki Minaj's hairstyle.
After our miserable rainy day yesterday, today was beautiful.
Granted, is was still freezing. But in the sun, it felt lovely. So Maddy and I went on another adventure while Chunk took a nap.

you are about to experience a rather high volume of photos. I am one of those people who is super nosy and loves it when people post tons of pictures, so I feel like it's ok for me to be obnoxious and post a ton too.
Chunk chillin' on the couch

Yep. She's naked. Or maybe nekkid. That's when you ain't got no clothes on and your up to somethin'.

Chunk got sleepy

Last night, Maddy sat in a booster and drank from a big cup. Such a big girl.

Playing with her ball

Running away

Checking on me

Running after the ball

running away again

she dropped the ball. haha.

she was talking in this one. too bad pictures don't capture words.

she missed the ball and had to come back

ripping the hat off. you will now be viewing baldy.

checking out the big green box

we are moving up in the world. eating by herself. i'm so proud

drinking from a REAL cup

Oh. My. Goodness. She wiped her mouth  by herself!
